Missionaries to the City focus their ministries and witness primarily outside the walls of the church and are identified by three main characteristics:
- Incarnational -- ministry is performed in the community away from the church campus;
- Intentional -- ministry is done specifically to provide the opportunity for demonstrating God's love and moving folks closer to a relationship with Christ;
- Consistent -- ministry is practiced on a regular, consistent basis
