Dear Pray Houston! Friends and Partners:

You are invited to attend an evening of prayer leader training. The training focus for the evening will be Dr. Henry Blackaby’s “Fresh Encounter” spiritual awakening materials. You don’t want to miss this great evening of renewing prayer, worship, and inspirational training.

Are you new to Pray Houston? Are you interested in either leading or assisting with a Pray Houston! prayer meeting? If so, please join us on Tuesday, August 18. Invite your friends and ministry colleagues to attend too!

During the evening, we will give you an overview of the Pray Houston! and introduce you to other like-minded prayer leaders.

RSVP today for the August 18 gathering at: dhutto@suddenlink.net

Other Pray Houston! citywide initiatives are coming soon!

  •  Regional Prayer Meetings for Transforming Revival begin this Fall in many churches across greater Houston. In coming weeks, log onto the Pray Houston! website to see where these II Chronicles 7:14 prayer gatherings will be held: www.prayhouston.com
  •  Pastors Prayer Summit for Greater Houston Pastors. Join pastors from many denominations across our region, as we gather to humble ourselves and pray. Date, location, and details TBD. Watch for details about this important prayer gathering designed to impact greater Houston as One Church, One Body and One Mission in Jesus Christ!

Be encouraged with these words of promise and hope, when Jesus comes to our city in a greater way!:

“As He made His entrance into Jerusalem (Houston!), the whole city was shaken. Unnerved, people were asking: “What’s going on here? Who is this?” The parade crowd answered “This is the prophet Jesus, the one from Nazareth in Galilee.” Matthew 21:10-11, The Message

Prayer:

Lord Jesus, how we need You to “shake our city” as You shook the city of Jerusalem on that day! In these days where deep darkness abounds, we declare again, that Jesus, You are the Light of Your Church and the Light of the world! Ignite us and unite us, to do Your holy will.”

Please forward this information to others!

We look forward to seeing you on August 18 at First Presbyterian Church, 5300 Main Street.

Blessings in Christ,

Brian Gowan
