Leadership that Makes a Difference - July 11, 2016

Dr. Tom Billings and Rev. Parris Patrick

A billboard advertising a church read “the world is changing … we are not.”  Organizational expert Peter Drucker said, “The traditional institution is designed for continuity.   [I]n periods of upheaval, such as the one we are living in, change is the norm.  To be sure, [change] is painful and risky, and above all it requires a great deal of very hard work ... But unless it is seen as the task of the organization to lead change, the organization...will not survive.” Churches must master the art of productive change in order to effectively reach the changing community around them.  In this seminar we will overview the change process and explore how church leaders can overcome resistance to change.
