You're invited to UBA's new office!!!
Now, that might not sound like the most exciting invitation you'll get or even like something worth an article and video. But if you haven't been to the UBA office in the last several months, then you haven't seen UBA's office as it was always intended to be.
Because of the damage that Tropical Storm Beta caused to our building in 2020, we were able to renovate as we did basic repairs. We knocked down walls, created more collaborative spaces, added technology to rooms to make it a strategic space for our associational pastors, churches, and teams to use.
So, here’s a brief virtual tour to show you around and give you three simple ways our new space can serve you better.
1. Make a Video
One of the rooms I'm most excited about is the video studio we shot this video in. It was one of the rooms we worked on and has already been used by several of our churches to record sermons and video announcements.
This video studio is turnkey. Once you open the door, you'll find lights that are ready to go and stands for a camera. If you have a video person, they can come in and get started right away.
Even if you are just coming in to film with your phone, there’s a phone stand with a ring light set up as well. You can also bring in your computer and set it up on our bistro table to shoot videos as well. This studio is ready for you to use and many already have.
The studio has different backgrounds including white, black, and brick to film a high-quality video for your church. You can even use a teleprompter because we know Josh couldn’t make it through a video without a teleprompter.
2. Host a Meeting
As you’ll see in the video, our large conference room has been expanded. The capacity is now about 25% larger than it was before.
Both large and small conference rooms have new technology installed. New large-screen TVs allow you to cast a presentation with Apple TV or Google Chromecast.
3. Hang Out
The new area we opened up we call “The Hub.” It’s probably the most comfortable place in the entire building. You can use one of our stand-up desks to get some work done or the conference areas to meet. There’s also a big-screen TV with technology.
You can also just sit and relax. One of the best leather chairs you’re ever going to sit in is located in a quiet corner of The Hub with books nearby.
Whatever your reason for stopping by, maybe for a meeting or to find a quiet place to work. Whether for a minute or several hours, we can’t wait to see you soon.
