Faithfulness + Fun: Mission Centers' 60th Anniversary Celebration

Ready, Set...RSVP for the Mission Center Part-y!

God began laying a foundation for inner-city ministry long before the Mission Centers of Houston became an official entity in 1962. Now, we're going to celebrate all he's done.

Over the last six decades, countless believers have been involved in some capacity with the Mission Centers of Houston, which is a ministry founded through the Union Baptist Association.

If you are one of those donors, volunteers, leaders, or supportive church members, you will be blessed to see the collective impact of others who have also been obedient to God’s prompting. If you have not been involved yet, now is your chance to hear about the amazing impact of this ministry.

On Saturday, October 15 you can be a part of the nostalgia and celebration as we recap 60+ years of God’s faithfulness from 5-8pm at Houston’s First Baptist Church at 7401 Katy Freeway.

Spoiler: You might also hear an exciting sneak peek about the Vision for the future.

The night will include hors-d'oeuvres, live music, touching testimonies, party pics, a few surprises, and a faith-building flashback to 1962. Sign up now and enjoy an evening of fun and fellowship that will conclude with cake, a trivia contest, and door prizes.

After you RSVP, help us get the word out to others from years past who might enjoy a walk down memory lane.

BONUS: Saturday AM tours

Supporters, volunteers and summer "critter" missionaries and any other visitors will enjoy touring the centers from 10-noon on October 15, particularly seeing the new Faithfulness Timeline on the central hall of the Mildred McWhorter Missionary Building at 1815 Gano.

Drop by the Gano Center, Joy Center at 7629 Avenue F, Fletcher Center at 1013 Fletcher between 10 and noon and hear about these current ministry environments.

We’ll send one succinct weekly email

with the best news, events, and info

for churches in the Houston area.
