¿Alguna vez ha sentido el mover del Espíritu a hablar con alguien que usted no conoce?
¿Alguna vez ha estado entre un grupo de personas y siente un impulso de hablar con esa persona en particular?
Quizás has estado hablando con alguna amiga y siente un impulso de hablarle acerca de su fe, mientras hablan de repente ella se interesa por las cosas espirituales y tú sabes en tu corazón que debes de hablarle de Jesús.
Estos son momentos llenos de posibilidades en el caminar espiritual de esa persona hacia Cristo. Esos momentos donde la persona puede dar pasos para acercarse a una relación personal con Jesús. Algunas de esas conversaciones serán superficiales, otras serán más profundas.
Yo he experimentado momentos donde el Espíritu me mueve a una persona y he podido compartir algo del evangelio con ellos, en otros he podido cosechar lo que otros sembraron y aun en otras ocasiones he regado la semilla que otro sembró. Pero todo comienza cuando obedecemos a esos impulsos del Espíritu Santo.
En Lucas 19:1-10, encontramos en la historia de Zaqueo como Dios planea estas citas divinas;
Pasando Jesús intencionalmente por Jericó, en este lugar había un hombre llamado Zaqueo que estaba deseando tanto conocer a Jesús que hizo todo lo posible para verlo. Pero lo que él no sabía era que Dios era el que lo buscaba a él; “(Jesús) mirando hacia arriba, le vio, y le dijo: Zaqueo, date prisa, desciende, porque hoy es necesario que pose yo en tu casa”
Al final de la historia, Zaqueo entregó su vida completamente a Jesús y se comprometió a restituir todo lo que había robado, ese mismo dia.
Todos somos llamados a Evangelizar
John MacArthur define el término “euangelizo” como “proclamar las buenas nuevas, Este término se utiliza en el contexto del llamado de cada cristiano, especialmente los predicadores y maestros, a proclamar el Evangelio."
Evangelizar, es instruir a hombres y mujeres a las cosas que pertenecen a la salvación. Se utiliza 23 veces para denotar "predicar", 22 para denotar "predicar el Evangelio", otros 10 veces para denotar una declaración de buenas noticias.
La gran comisión es el mandato dado por Jesús a los cristianos de “ir y proclamar el evangelio (euangelizo)” Mateo 28:19-20, Marcos 16:15-16, 2 Timoteo 4:2
El evangelizar no debe reducirse a una cuestión solamente de obediencia, porque la obediencia a Cristo no puede separarse del amor a Cristo. La correcta comprensión de quién es Dios y quiénes somos y una evaluación correcta de la Gracia de Dios derramada en nuestras vidas solo puede producir una pasión viva que nos motiva amarle con "todo tu corazón, toda tu alma, toda tu mente y toda su fuerza" Debe ser el resultado de nuestro amor por Cristo (Juan 14:15)
Divine Appointments
Have you ever felt the move of the Spirit to talk to someone you don't know?
Ever been among a group of people and felt an urge to talk with one particular person?
Perhaps you have been talking to a friend and felt an impulse to talk about their faith. While talking, you notice they're interested in spiritual things, and you know in your heart that you should talk about Jesus.
These are moments full of possibilities in that person's spiritual walk towards Christ—those opportunities where the person can take steps to a personal relationship with Jesus. Some of those conversations will be superficial; others will be deeper.
I have experienced moments where the Spirit moves me to a person and have been able to share some of the gospel with them. In others, I have been able to reap what others sowed. Still other occasions, I have watered the seed that another sowed. But it all starts when we obey those impulses of the Holy Spirit.
In Luke 19: 1-10, we find in the story of Zacchaeus where God plans a divine appointment.
Jesus intentionally passes through Jericho. In this place, there was a man named Zacchaeus who was so keen to meet Jesus that he did everything possible to see him. But what he did not know was that God was the one who sought him. "When Jesus reached the spot, [Jesus] looked up and said to him, 'Zacchaeus, come down immediately. I must stay at your house today.'"(Luke 1:5)
At the end of the story, Zacchaeus gave his life completely to Jesus and promised to restore everything he had stolen that same day.
All are Called to Evangelize
John MacArthur describes the term "evangelize" as proclaiming the good news. This term is used in the context of the call of every Christian, especially preachers and teachers, to proclaim the Gospel.
Evangelism is instructing men and women in the things that lead to salvation. It is used 23 times to denote "preach," 22 to denote "preach the Gospel," another 10 times to denote a statement of good news.
The Great Commission is the mandate given by Jesus to Christians to "go and proclaim the gospel (evangelize)" Matthew 28: 19-20, Mark 16: 15-16, 2 Timothy 4:2
Evangelism should not be reduced to a matter of obedience only, because obedience to Christ cannot be separated from love of Christ. The correct understanding of who God is and who we are and a correct evaluation of the Grace of God shed in our lives can only produce a living passion that motivates us to love him with "all your heart, all your soul, all your mind and all your strength." It must be the result of our love for Christ (John 14:15).
